I ordered both the bat grip tape and a pair of black Prowler gloves and have been using it for speed swing training for a couple of weeks. The quality of both have proven to be superb with excellent durability and feel. The combination of the tape and glove have provided superior grip to what I've experienced in the past with other products. I have a couple of pairs of other gloves (Easton and Franklin) that I've tried for comparison and the Vukgripz combination is head and shoulders better. I'm looking forward to trying everything out once our season starts and will update my review at that time. In the meantime, five stars so far.
This is an update of my review. I've used the gloves for 10 batting practice sessions (around 20 swings each session) and for four games so far. The right glove has developed a sizable tear near the base of the index finger which has progressively gotten worse. I like the look and feel of the glove but at this price point I would have expected a product that would last at least a season. At this point I'll likely opt for a different product as I can't justify the pricing for the gloves for only a couple of months of use. I've taken twice as many swings with my Franklin and Easton batting gloves and they hardly show any wear. I've downgraded my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars as a result due to the lack of durability. Very disappointing.
I've been very impressed with the responsiveness of Vukzgripz to my glove concerns. I've been contacted by the company and it looks like the wear on the glove is likely due to a sizing issue. Vukzgripz has offered to replace the glove with the correct sizing. I can't say enough about the responsiveness and level of customer service. I've dealt with other outfits like Ruroc (ski helmets) that has horrible customer service. I've upgrade my rating to 4 stars for now until I try out the gloves with the correct sizing. If durability becomes a non-issue, I will update the rating to 5 stars.
